HICMDK's foundation of faith

1. We believe that the Bible is word from God given to us through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost.

2. We believe that God is one, expressed through the trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). That God is the creator of everything, both visible and invisible.
We believe in His boundless and eternal nature that He is absolutely holy and just. He loves man and cares for all his creativity.

3. We believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah, son of God, who was sent to God by God to save mankind. We believe he is the other person in the trinity that he has always existed in the same way as God's Father. We believe in his incarnation, his life, death, resurrection, heavenly resurrection and his return.

4. We believe in the Holy Spirit as a divine person in the trinity. He is therefore eternal and almighty. We believe he was active with God the Father and Jesus Christ in the creation of the world that he was present through the time of the Old Testament, and in a particular way he was present with his power in the life and service of Jesus. We believe that the Holy Ghost came to earth on Pentecost and still wants to be in the Church of Christ until the day of redemption.

5. We believe that man was created in God's image and placed in the Garden of Eden, as God's rulers on earth. We believe in the Bible's teachings about the fall of man and the need for salvation through Jesus Christ.

6. The Bible teaches us that everyone who believes and is being baptized must be saved. Therefore, we practice the baptism of faith by immersion according to the model we have in the Bible.

7. We believe that children who have not been proven right and wrong belong to the Kingdom of God. They do not have to be baptized, but are surrendered to God through prayer and blessing at a ceremony in the church.

8. We believe that the Bible only indicates 2 sacraments. These are baptisms and supperies. We believe that baptism in water must only happen once upon confession of faith in Jesus Christ, while the sacrament is often repeated in memory of Jesus' death and resurrection.

9. We believe in the baptism and fire of the Holy Spirit mentioned in chapter 2 of the Acts of the Apostles, and that this baptism gives power to the believers to enable them to complete God's will.

10. We believe that the Church of Christ is a universal church, which is expressed by many local churches, of which HICMDK is one of these. We believe that God provides services in the church to lead and rule cf. Paul's letter to Ephesians chapter 4.

11. We believe that Jesus Christ will come again as the disciples were promised by Jesus' heavenly journey. We believe in the Lamb's wedding in heaven and upon Jesus' return to the earth, where he will rule with the saved.

12. We believe in eternal life and there will be a judgment both for believers and for non believers who determine life for eternity. The believers will come to Christ's court where their deeds must be tested before they enter into eternal life. The unbelievers will meet the final judgment.
